It’s a retail decor shop, it’s a showroom.
It’s a clubhouse. It’s a place for our community.
It’s something we’ve worked on for a long time – and finally, it’s ready. The Shop by Porter is now open to the public, Tuesdays – Fridays at 11-7 pm!
So what is the Shop? When we started building it, we knew it needed to be many things. It would be a gathering place for the interior design community, a reprieve from the home office for creatives. It needed to be a space of inspiration for other businesses working their way back to opening, unsure of what spaces should look like in 2022. It would need to pay homage to Seattle, piquing the curiosity of passersby intrigued by beautiful décor and a stellar wine selection. And for whoever it is stopping by, it needs to be a place where they feel taken care of.
At Porter, we call this radical hospitality: a commitment to serving those in your space like honored guests. Our design strategy for the Shop centered around this, opting for a welcoming place to gather. A sleek bar top presents a clean space for an inspired food and beverage menu. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in a wash of daylight. And thoughtfully chosen artwork throughout tell our story of Seattle, paying homage to the city we love and giving you small, unexpected moments to explore.
We are located in Downtown Seattle with the address 1201 2nd Ave E, Suite 100 – and please note that our entrance is actually off of 1st Ave, between Seneca and University.
